Why Progressure exists

Progressure is a weekly training planner for ambitious young athletes. It exists because of a simple observation: the training week is planned everywhere except in one place.

The week that lives in your head

An ambitious young athlete's week is genuinely full. School sets the hours. Team practice claims two or three evenings. There's a match at the weekend. And somewhere around all of that sits the individual training — the technical work, the strength, the extra sessions that actually drive development. The plan for it all usually lives in the athlete's head, a notes app, or nowhere.

Without one honest picture of the week, things tend to fall one of two ways. Either the individual work quietly shrinks, because there's never an obvious place for it — or it gets stacked on top of weeks that are already full, and the load creeps past what a young body can absorb. Both cost development; only one of them hurts.

One calm view of the week

Progressure was built in Norway by a small independent team with a background in football and technology. The idea is deliberately modest. Put the whole week in one calm view: fixed commitments — school, team practice, matches — go in first and form the scaffold of the week. Individual sessions are planned into the gaps that remain. And the total training load, intensity × duration summed across every sport, is visible before the week starts, not after it has gone wrong.

Manual by design

Progressure doesn't prescribe programmes, generate sessions, or tell athletes what to train. That isn't a missing feature — it's the point. Development is personal, and the people best placed to steer it are the athlete, the coach and the parents, not an app. What Progressure does is make the week and the load visible, so those decisions get made with the whole picture in view rather than from memory.

The approach rests on established sports-science principles for young athletes: keep the weekly total sensible, build the load up gradually, and protect rest. If you want the detail behind that, start with our guide on avoiding overtraining in young athletes.

Where we are

Progressure is young, and honest about it. The planner is free while in beta, and it is built in close dialogue with the athletes, coaches and parents already using it — feedback genuinely shapes the roadmap. If something is missing, confusing or plain wrong, we want to hear about it: hello@progressure.com.
